Finding Calm in Your Day
Speaker: Cydney Spohn with Invest EAP
Stress is an inherent part of life, and during this current pandemic period of physical distancing, many are working hard to maintain a healthy response to the stress of change and uncertainty. In this interactive workshop, we will talk about stress, identify its effect on the body and mind and practice stress reduction and coping skills. The exercises and activities are designed to be easily replicated in any setting. Regardless of your skill level or familiarity with stress management practices, anyone can participate in this workshop and benefit from the activities.
Cydney Spohn, EAP Account Associate, has an extensive background in higher education and the arts with over 25 years of experience teaching and helping people of all ages reach their potential. Along with developing and presenting workshops for Invest EAP, Cydney provides instruction on leadership, communication, and other professional development classes to adult learners through a private Vermont organization.
Invest EAP is a free service to many state and municipal employees. EAP stands for Employee Assistance Program. They offer crisis services, counseling, wellness programs, strategies for stress management.

10:20 – 10:30 am Questions / short break
10:30 – 11:00 am Round Table Discussions – Winter 2021 Covid Guidelines & Procedure, Programming, Parks
11:00 – 12:00 pm VRPA Business Meeting – all encouraged to stay and participate in meeting!
Participants should join the meeting using their own computer or tablet. This will allow each individual to interact answering polls and using the chat feature (and possibly the whiteboard). There will be some time spent lying down on the floor, so a quiet and comfortable space without distractions is ideal. Wear comfortable clothing.
Meeting Registration Fee: $15.00 (VRPA Members), $25 (non VRPA members)
