In March 2009, the Vermont Recreation and Parks Association re-introduced the annual Board Member Workshop. We are proud to bring back this popular workshop designed specifically for volunteer board members on an annual basis.
The Board Member Workshop program includes three concurrent sessions to choose from before dinner, a keynote speaker at dinner, and six roundtable discussions after dinner. The Concurrent Sessions will provide specific resources and tools to apply within your community. After dinner Roundtables will provide you with the opportunity to participate in facilitated discussions and network with volunteer counterparts from around the state about issues you face in the delivery of parks and recreation services in your community.
The registration fee for the Board Member Workshop is subsidized with funds from the Annual Governor's Conference Silent Auction to make it more affordable and hopefully accessible to everyone. You and your board will leave energized, guaranteed.
The Annual VRPA Board Workshop is typically held in late March or early April. The date, location and registration materials for the 2011 Workshop will be posted as soon as they are available.
