VRPA Annual Meeting

We gather each May to celebrate our accomplishments of the previous year, prepare for the summer’s activities, and recognize some of the people who have made significant contributions to the association. Every other year we install our new Executive Board and this is one of those years. Following the Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon, we host a best ball golf scramble in memory of our friend and colleague, former Newport Recreation Director Harry Corrow, and find a nearby local walk/hike for the non-golfers. We hope you will join us!

Afternoon Activities...

(1) 6th Annual Harry Corrow Memorial Golf Scramble. This year’s best-ball friendly tournament will be played at the Links at Lang Farm...The Links is the only 18-hole championship executive course in New England. They have given us a great price of $40 including the cart...payable at the course. All skill levels welcome - Harry would want us all to play even if it is our first time at the game! Tee time is 2:00pm.

(2) The trail around Indian Brook Reservoir is about 2 miles and will take about an hour. This is a very nice route for the start of your 2011 hiking season. Don’t forget you water bottle and hiking shoes...there could be some wet spots.
